Ba Na Hills Day Tour from Da Nang — Cable Car, Golden Bridge, French Village

Ba Na is the one place near Da Nang where going independently is not obviously cheaper. The return cable car ticket already eats most of the cost, and once you add a taxi both ways — forty minutes each direction — you are close to the all-in tour price, except you also have to manage your own timing.

This tour runs there and back in a day with hotel pickup. It suits people who have already spent a few days in Da Nang and want to give the mountain a full day.

Children are priced by height, not age

This catches families out. Ba Na charges children by height: free under 1m, child rate from 1m to 1.4m, and full adult rate above 1.4m even for a seven-year-old. Give the operator your children’s actual heights when you book so nothing changes at the gate.

Practical notes

Wear long sleeves and bring a jacket. The summit usually sits at 18–20°C, eight to ten degrees cooler than the city below. This is the single most common mistake first-time visitors make.

If you want the Golden Bridge without crowds, this tour is not early enough. The bridge fills up from around 09:30, and this itinerary boards the cable car at 09:00. If empty photographs are your main goal, ask the operator about a private departure that leaves earlier.

The best months for the cloud layer are March to August. From October the mountain is often in thick fog, and some days you cannot see anything from the bridge at all.

Flat shoes, not heels. You spend the day walking on stone paving and stairs, and the real distance covered is longer than it looks.

Only skip the lunch package if you do not mind queuing. The individual restaurants at the summit are very busy at midday, and they are not much cheaper than the buffet.
