Highlights

Two days and one night is the shortest itinerary that still touches all three sides of Da Nang: the mountain, the coast and the old town. It is the most-booked option among people who fly in on Friday evening, take Saturday and Sunday, and go home.

Since 1 July 2025, Quảng Nam province has been merged into the city of Đà Nẵng. Hoi An, the Cham Islands and My Son are all part of Đà Nẵng now — on this itinerary you are no longer crossing into another province.

The order of stops may be rearranged to suit the weather and traffic on the day, but the number of stops stays the same. Your guide will call one or two days before departure to confirm the pickup time.

Choosing your day two

Do not pick Ba Na if you fly out early. You come down the cable car at 15:00 and reach the hotel at 16:30 — too tight against an afternoon flight. The Cham Islands return earlier; Hue returns latest of all.

The Cham Islands depend on the weather. From October to February the sea is often rough and the port can ban speedboats. In those months choose Ba Na or Hue to be safe.

A few small things

Linh Ứng Pagoda needs modest dress. Sleeves, and trousers or a skirt below the knee. Sơn Trà is bright in the morning but windy — bring a light jacket.

Eat early in Hoi An. After 19:00 the Old Town restaurants fill up and a 20–30 minute wait for a table is normal.

Schedule

  1. Day 1 — morningYour coach and guide meet you at the airport, railway station or bus station. First stop is the Sơn Trà peninsula and Linh Ứng Pagoda, where the 67m Lady Buddha looks straight out over the bay. Mornings are the clearest, and from the courtyard you can follow the curve of Mỹ Khê beach south.
  2. Day 1 — middayLunch at a local restaurant, then the Marble Mountains. The lift takes you up Thuỷ Sơn peak to Huyền Không cave — a natural chamber with an opening in the roof that turns midday sun into a column of light, the best shot in the whole complex. At the foot of the hill is the Non Nước stone carving village, a craft more than 400 years old.
  3. Day 1 — afternoonOn to Hoi An. Check into your beachfront hotel or head straight into the Old Town depending on the time. Walk past the Japanese Bridge, the Tấn Ký house and the Phúc Kiến assembly hall. The pedestrian quarter switches its electric lights off and runs on lanterns, at its best between 18:30 and 20:30.
  4. Day 1 — eveningFree time in the Old Town. The tour includes one paper lantern to float on the Hoài River. Dinner is on your own so you can choose. Overnight in Đà Nẵng.
  5. Day 2 — option 1Cham Islands, no supplement: speedboat to the island, snorkelling over coral, Hải Tạng Pagoda and Tân Hiệp market, seafood lunch on Bãi Ông beach. This option returns earliest of the three.
  6. Day 2 — option 2Ba Na Hills, supplement 740,000₫ per person: cable car to the summit, the Golden Bridge, the Moon Castle, French Village and Fantasy Park, with buffet lunch at the top.
  7. Day 2 — option 3Hue for the day, supplement quoted separately — ask when booking: through the Hải Vân tunnel, a stop at Lăng Cô bay, the Imperial City and Khải Định tomb. This option returns latest of the three.
  8. EndTransfer to the airport, railway station or bus station to suit your ticket.
