Highlights

If you had to pick a single itinerary to introduce Da Nang to a first-time visitor, the people who run tours here would pick three days and two nights. Long enough to give Ba Na Hills a full day without rushing, short enough not to drag, and it still leaves a final day for you to decide whether you want the island or the old capital.

The prices above apply to groups of ten or more; smaller groups should ask for a separate quote.

Since 1 July 2025, Quảng Nam province has been merged into the city of Đà Nẵng. Hoi An, the Cham Islands and My Son are all part of Đà Nẵng now.

The Ba Na ticket alone is nearly half the price

The cable car plus the summit buffet is worth about 1,250,000₫ per person — close to half the 3.5-star package. Worth knowing when you weigh this against doing Ba Na yourself and booking your own hotel.

Practical notes

Wear long sleeves up Ba Na. The summit sits at 18–20°C and some days it is thick with fog. Plenty of guests go up in a strappy top to photograph the Golden Bridge and then shiver through the morning.

Go early for the Golden Bridge. The cable car opens around 07:30 — on the first departure you get nearly an hour of empty bridge before the large groups arrive.

The best months for cloud on Ba Na are March to August. From October it is often fogged in, and some days you see nothing from the bridge but mist.

If you travel in the rainy season, September to December, take Hue for day three rather than the Cham Islands, since boats to the island are frequently grounded when the sea is rough.

Book a seafood table ahead at weekends. The restaurants along Hoàng Sa and Võ Nguyên Giáp are full from 18:30 on a Saturday.

Or go independently

If you would rather arrange and book each part yourself, there is a self-guided Da Nang itinerary for 3 days and 2 nights covering much the same ground — no pick-up and no guide, but you keep control of your own hours and it usually costs less.
